I think one of the worst things about having acne is that people with clear skin just don’t understand.
And sometimes I wish I had was “fat” instead, because at least then people could relate a little. However, I don’t think most people understand what it’s like to have tried everything yet still have a face covered in pimples.
Here are 3 scenarios you’ve probably encountered if you had acne:
HOW YOUR FRIENDS DON’T GET IT
SCENARIO #1: NEW PIMPLE
What Happens: When you tell your friend about this crazy huge new pimple that’s bothering you and your friend says, “Where? I can’t tell.”
What We See: What I heard here was that I had so many pimples, one more didn’t really make a difference.
SCENARIO #2: YOU NEED SOME REASSURANCE
What Happens: You ask your close friend, “Hey, how bad is this pimple? I don’t know if I want to go out tonight.” Your friend say, “It’s not that bad, I can’t even tell.”
What We See: Now I know my friend was just trying to be helpful, but sometimes I think I just needed the truth. Because later, when I would go to the restroom and see the pimple for myself, I would think, “SHIT. I’ve been walking around this entire time and my pimple is practically oozing puss. I can’t believe I was just talking to that cute girl. I must’ve grossed her out. Why didn’t my friend just tell me?!”
SCENARIO #3: BLANK LOOKS
What Happens: You complain about having acne and are pissed about breaking out. Your friends look at your blankly as if what you’re saying is completely ridiculous.
What We See: They don’t understand at all. They have no idea what we’re saying or why we’re upset. After all, to them, we’ve always had acne, right?
IT DRIVES YOU CRAZY
And you know what, I think it was jut because I had had acne for so long, my brain had somehow been infiltrated by the acne and it was taking over my mind.
Making me THE CRAZ-EH.
And I know a lot of people told that I was being too sensitive and negative.
I probably was. You probably know how it feels though. But I don’t think everyone got how we felt.
Acne had made us into a very insecure people and some point, we start link everything to it. It’s like a dark cloud that forever lingers over our heads and the fog … that was starts to cloud our vision.
My insecurities became worse and worse, and the downward spiral that was my scabbed and acne scared face just kept spinning to a darker and darker place. Every time something would go wrong, I would attribute it to my acne.
I knew I needed to get out. But how?
Just pretend like I didn’t have acne? Like it wasn’t a big deal?
How could I pretend that when I looked in the mirror, what I saw was a person with a puss filled, disease growing on his face?
HOPE
But I never lost hope. I knew there was a cure out there somewhere. And even though the dozens of products I tried before didn’t work for clearing my skin, I wasn’t going to live like this.
I was going to do whatever it took to figure out my acne.
And one night, as of writing this article, almost 10 years ago, I figured out how to clear my acne. And I’m here to share with you the story of what I did, what I tried, and how I finally cured it naturally through an Acne Free Diet.
I’LL NEVER BE LIKE THEM
These days, my heart goes out to people who suffer from acne. And people who suffer from a weight problem too. When I meet people who are having a tough time, I know how they feel.
It sucks.
And if I were to see you on the street, in a coffee shop, or just driving by, I would want to help you too. The problem is, and I did a video about this last week, I can’t just walk up to and ask you if you want help can I?
