Kefir Vs. Yogurt: Why Kefir is Better than Yogurt

What’s the difference between yogurt and kefir?

And why is this important the difference to giving you acne free clear skin?

That’s a good question because I bet many of you have heard about yogurt but few people have heard about kefir.

Some of you may have never even heard of kefir before.  And that’s okay.  And maybe some of you have probably even wandered around in the grocery store or at your local Trader Joe’s and have seen kefir.

You’ve thought to yourself, “Is that the same thing as yogurt?  What is that?”

So is kefir better than yogurt?  Is yogurt better than kefir?  Are they the same?  What’s the difference?

Let’s find out.

How To Clear Your Acne Fight! Round 1: Kefir vs. YogurtTHE FACE-OFF, ROUND 1:

In this corner we have Yogurt! Weighing in at 6 oz, about 4 inches tall with live cultures and a strawberry “punch” that’ll knock your socks off! And in this “other” corner, we have a mysterious newcomer Kefir, weighing in a whopping 32 oz and almost 10 inches tall!

Who shall be the winner of today’s ring match? Let’s find out.

Yogurt and kefir walk up next to each other, and it’s pretty obvious that it’s over.

DING, DING, DING!

Kefir is the winner!

Why?

If you look at the VS. chart that I drew up above, both yogurt and kefir have live cultures in them.

WHAT ARE LIVE CULTURES?

Live cultures are the good bacteria that are so important to your health and acne free clear skin.  Without live cultures, you would not only have terrible skin, but you would also have a lot of trouble absorbing nutrients and eventually a lot of organs would fail.  Ultimately, you would die a pretty gruesome death with diseases and organ failure.

Now we all have different degrees of live cultures in our body depending on how we treat our body, how we eat, how much bad bacteria we have living in our body that’s fighting against the live cultures, what kind of antibiotics we’ve taken in the past, etc…

But if you can optimize the amount of probiotics, which is another name for live cultures, then you can make sure that your body has a fighting chances against bad bacteria and acne bacteria that may be living in your body.

KEFIR AND YOGURT ARE THE SAME?

Kefir and yogurt are the same on that level, having live cultures.  But what’s that extra “kick” that gave kefir the winning “punch?”

That extra little bit that kefir has is “environment.”

What do I mean by that?

Well, you have to understand that your body doesn’t make the live cultures.  You CAN’T just produce live cultures from your cells.  You have to eat the live cultures from the right kind of foods such as pre-biotics, inulin, oligosaccharides (more on this later…) and then you can keep them alive in your body.

CAN LIVE CULTURES DIE?

Yes, live cultures can die.  When you eat antibiotics, or the breakdown of that word is “against life,” you not only kill the bad bacteria in your body, you also kill the good bacteria too.  If this happens, you need to supplement with live cultures or probiotics to rebuild that good bacteria in your body again before bad bacteria takes it’s place.

If you eat a lot of bad foods and not enough of the right foods, eventually good bacteria will feed off all the bad foods and sugars and the good bacteria won’t have any food.  If this is the case, the good bacteria will die off and then the bad bacteria will take over your stomach and then your body.

If the body doesn’t have the right conditions and environment, the good bacteria can die off.

KEFIR IS BETTER THAN YOGURT BECAUSE…

Kefir not only has live cultures and living good bacteria, it can also create that “environment” in your body that gives good bacteria an advantage.  This allows good bacteria an easier time to live in your body than bad bacteria therefore limiting the chance of bad bacteria to inhabit your stomach and body.

That’s one of the main reasons why kefir is better than yogurt.

  1. Stop eating the wrong foods.
  2. Start eating the acne free diet.

Let me paint you a very obvious picture, if you gave a newborn puppy nothing but junk food and artificial soda to eat its entire life, would you be surprised if this fully grown dog had health problems? Back pain? Whatever the equivalent of dog acne was? Maybe skin rashes?

No, you probably wouldn’t be surprised. This dog had nothing but crap to eat it’s entire life!

Maybe if that dog exercised but you still only fed it chips and coke, would it be better? Maybe, but its health would still be severely hurt because of all this bad food for so much of it’s life.

But what if you fed it healthy, nutritious, fresh food since it was little?

Can you imagine, even if it didn’t work out, how healthy it would be? It probably wouldn’t even have to work out and it would have a nice fur coat, nice heart beat, no diabetes.

Now the tricky part is this …

What is the secret formula that WE, as people, need and don’t need when it comes to an acne free diet?

YES!
