Can You Really Clear Your Acne Overnight?

There’s been a lot of talk about clearing and curing your acne overnight. So I did some research and found one of the most popular articles about clearing acne “overnight.” From eHow.com | Clear Up Acne Overnight.  So let’s find out about everyone’s reading and thinking about curing acne overnight.

But more importantly, let’s find out the TRUTH about clearing your acne overnight. Is it true? Can it clearing your acne overnight really happen? What are the myths? Are you getting the right advice? Are you wasting your time? Are you being led in the wrong direction? I’ve suffered from acne for more than 10 years and through hard work, trial and error have finally found the truth about acne.

I’ve made it my mission to make sure people know the TRUTH about acne. Here is some advice about someone else’s acne advice that will save you a lot time, money, and that pain you get when you look in the mirror (I know it sucks, trust me, I’ve been there).

1.) Clean your face and neck thoroughly. If you have sensitive skin, use whatever works best for you. A mild soap is usually all you need to remove dirt, oil and grime that your skin soaks up. Wet your face with warm water. Apply the mild soap to your face and neck. Use a soft washcloth to gently scrub your face using a circular motion. Rinse all of the soap off with warm water.

What I Think:

This is definitely good advice.  I’m not sure if it’s going to help clear acne overnight though.  It might help prevent getting that pimple or two but if you have a more severe problem like more than a few pimples or getting pimples every day, this may not be enough.  None the less, you’re always going to want to keep your face clean and remove dirt, oil and grime.  However, just know that dirt oil and grime isn’t the cause of acne.  These are external issues that don’t CAUSE acne, they may aggravate your acne though.  If you really want to cure and clear your acne, then you’re going to want to focus on the inside.  And you can do that with the Acne Free Diet and [intlink id=”45″ type=”page”]the How to Clear Your Acne Regimen HERE[/intlink].

Think about it this way, if dirt, oil, and grime actually caused acne then why do some people never break out and have acne or pimples even though they don’t wash their faces and have plenty of dirt, oil, and grime?  That’s because their acne free on the INSIDE.  You can get there too with the [intlink id=”45″ type=”page”]HTCYA regimen[/intlink] (How To Clear Your Acne) that I’ve designed.

2.) Sleep with a head wrap around your hair to keep it from touching your face. Even if you don’t use any hair products, the shampoo and conditioner on your hair could cause acne.

What I Think:

Again, not having your hair touch your face is focusing on an external source in relation with your face and acne.  While this may help aggravate your acne less, it definitely won’t cure your acne for the long term.  If you have acne, your skin is hypersensitive right now to all sorts of outside things like dirt, oil, gel from your hair, hair products, rain, and the list goes on.  What you want to focus on for real results is the long term, and that’s making it so that your body can handle external factors without breaking out and becoming agitated.

Focus on clearing your acne from the inside for REAL results.

3.) Get at least eight hours of sleep. Remove your pillowcase and add a fresh one so you are not sleeping on old oil from your skin and other debris. Do not sleep with anything on your face such as a sleeping mask.

What I think:

This one is very true.  Your body needs time to repair itself.  Your body is in a compromised state right now and it’s susceptible to acne bacteria.  When you’re on the How To Clear Your Acne Regimen, you’re going to need rest.  The other stuff such as removing your pillowcase is again focusing on the external.  Therefore it isn’t as important, but getting adequate rest so that you can give your body the resources it needs to clear your skin, that’s truth.

4.) Drink plenty of water. If you must have something else such as juice, coffee or soda, keep it to a small amount. Avoid unhealthful foods and snack on fruits, vegetables, grains, meats, and dairy products instead. Healthful foods help your skin and body stay hydrated, which is important for clear skin.

What I Think:

YES!  This is more on the track of what I teach.  Though this is a very small portion of the Acne Free Diet from my website, this is focusing more on the right stuff.  Now we’re on to something…

5.) Add a dot of toothpaste (not gel) to problem acne areas on your face and cover with a bandage so it doesn’t smudge off while you are sleeping. If your entire face is covered with acne, you can try spreading the toothpaste all over your face, but some will probably come off while you sleep. You can also substitute shaving cream for toothpaste.

What I Think:

Putting toothpaste on your pimple will dry it out.  It will probably alleviate the problem area a little bit, but it’s really not a long term solution.  Just like most acne advice, this is focusing on the outside rather than what really matters, the inside.

6.) Crush one aspirin in a bowl and mix with lemon juice to create a paste, as another option to toothpaste. Apply this paste to your acne trouble spots or your entire face and leave it overnight. It will help make your skin clear, reduce redness, and get rid of acne fast

What I Think:

This is a good overnight mask.  It won’t work any miracles, but it’ll help a bit.  Again, it’s not going to clear or cure your acne if you already have an acne problem.  This focuses on the external rather than the inside of your body, what’s really causing acne inside you.

Do you really want to have to put toothpaste on every single pimple the rest of your life?  Every time you get one?  Do you want to cover your face with toothpaste because you have a break out?  And then wake up to find toothpaste all over your pillows?

Or would you rather not have to put anything on your face at all and instead REALLY clear your acne from the inside, naturally.

Trust me, I used to put a lot of stuff on my face before I went to bed.  I popped some of my pimples, exfoliated, then put on aloe vera, benzoyl peroxide, maybe even did a mask sometimes, the list goes on.  It was a lot of trouble and the results never were that great.  Especially compared to now when I don’t even have to wash my face sometimes for 2-3 days straight and I’m still fine.  I’m clear NATURALLY, like I never had a problem.

But it wasn’t always like this, I remember at one point in my life when I was way passed puberty, I was still standing in the bathroom, desperate for a solution to my acne.  It wasn’t until I finally learned the truth about clearing your skin from the inside out rather than the outside in that I finally achieved clear skin.

THE SOLUTION TO YOUR ACNE

The solution to curing your acne is to not focus on improving your health in the commonly accepted way.   Now, what I’m NOT saying is to not work out, not eat healthy, and not wash your skin.  That is NOT what I’m saying.  However, what I am saying is that what we believe now to be “taking care” of our bodies needs to be tweaked a little bit, especially if you have acne.  And that “tweak” that you’re looking for is exactly what How To Clear Your Acne is about.

What every acne sufferer must learn, especially the ones that are really fit and health conscious yet still can’t figure out why they still have acne, is that there is a DIFFERENT KIND OF TAKING CARE OF YOUR BODY ROUTINE for us.  Our bodies are different than the “average” person who eats whatever they want and just gains weight.  Sometimes our bodies, which you’ve probably already noticed, doesn’t even gain weight.  Sometimes, when we neglect our bodies, we just end up breaking out instead.  And it sucks.

It doesn’t make any sense that we’re working out, getting a good sweat, going to a sauna, washing our face, and then doing a facial mask yet we STILL breakout.  WHY?!

So whatever you do, don’t just keep working out and trying to eat “healthy” thinking that something’s going to change and that your acne is suddenly going to start clearing up if you just try harder.

I know this doesn’t work.  Because that’s what I used to do.  I would just redouble my efforts thinking that I wasn’t trying hard enough.  But that’s not the answer and it’s not going to cure your acne.

You need to stop and think.  Reformulate a new plan.  Really try and understand what’s going on.  Figure out the WHY.

It’s questions just like these that I racked my brain for years!   I’ve been in your shoes before and it’s hard to really know what works and what doesn’t.  It just seems like there are so many acne products out there, it’s hard to really find out with ones are telling the truth and which ones are lying. I’ve bought a lot of them too, Clearasil, Murad, ProActiv, those are just to name a few that I’ve tried.  I used to have use a lot of acne products such as aloe vera, benzoyl peroxide, face creams, masks, etc… But these days, I barely even wash my face once a day sometimes, and I’m still clear. I’m proof that clearing your acne the healthy and natural way works. And it’s permanent too, I still have clear skin and I have no problems maintaining acne free, clear skin.

And I finally figured out the perfect routine and way to care for our bodies and our skin if you have acne.  The true causes of acne are really dirty blood and an overwhelmed system. For anybody reading this article, if you’re serious about clearing your acne for good, the logical next step for you would be to learn about your body. It doesn’t matter if you choose me or someone else, I would highly recommend you to start learning about how to clear your acne from the inside instead of concentrating on the outside. Make sure you know that outside acne treatments are only short term, and that you really want to focus on clearing acne from the inside out.
