How to not break out on Christmas 2015

Okay guys, Christmas is just around the corner and with that, a lot of you are going to be getting together partying, having fun, and eating crazy things.

There’s probably going to be alcohol, lots of food, and lots of forbidden bad foods that on the Santa’s No-No list for acne.  Here’s what I want you all to watch out for this next holiday feast …

DAIRY.

So you’re saying, “No problem. Easy. I can do that. I won’t drink milk.”

But it’s not that easy. Dairy is in practically everyting. Here are some of the things that I’m going to need you to stay away from this Christmas in order to lessen the breakout:

  1. Pastas that have dairy
  2. Ice cream
  3. Pies
  4. Any other baked goods such as muffins, cupcakes, cookies,
  5. Chocolate

So why is this so important that you avoid dairy at all costs?

Because I’ve found that when you mix in dairy with what you eat, you dramatically increase inflammation. When this happens, you increase your chances of getting new pimples.

By cutting out dairy, you can decrease inflammation yet also enjoy your meal. What I’ve found with my clients, is not necessarily that they can’t cut out dairy but that it’s difficult because dairy not only is in so many foods, it’s also in so many foods that we’re just so used to eating.

A lot of people are not willing to cut out things like macaroni and cheese, mashed potatoes (butter), chocolate anything, or coffee.
What I’ve found though, is that if you’re willing and able to make a cut like this out of your diet, you’ll see a huge difference in your skin.

Obviously, just by cutting out dairy for one meal onChristmas will not cure your acne. But if you can do this for even 2 weeks, you’ll see a huge difference in how clear your skin is.

So if I were you, even before Christmas hits, I’d try this for a couple weeks and see how it works for you. It’s actually pretty tough because dairy is so ingrained in our American diet.
